Pug System – OPTI-PUG

The UFH Solutions Ltd OPTI-PUG system is ideal for renovation projects where either a dry mix screed is required, a mechanically fixed wooden floor is to be installed or the overall floor level is restricted.

The OPTI-PUG system comprises existing battens with insulation between and the underfloor heating pipework is then weaved and fixed in place with cliprail and clips.

Due to the battens helping to stabilise the floor, a dry mix screed of minimum 30mm can then be used between and level to the top of the batten to provide a thermal store around the pipework. A wooden deck or solid flooring can then be mechanically fixed directly on top of the battens.
